One t-shirt dress, three ways: look two
Coat: Zara
T-shirt dress: New Look
Necklace: Cinderela B
Sliders: ASOS
On Sunday I posted my first look with this t-shirt dress from New Look. This is my second; a clean, minimal look that can be dressed up as well as down. I bought this coat from Zara last year and am so glad Spring has arrived in London so I can bring it out again - I love the oversized shape and that by keeping the rest of the outfit simple it becomes a real statement piece.
P.S I would love it if you could nominate me for 'Best Fashion Blog' in the Company Style Blogger Awards-it's so quick and easy, just click here or on the button in my sidebar!

I'm feeling a bit of a tomboy vibe at the moment (my last outfit post is testament to that); perhaps it's my reaction to all the pastels and florals dominating the high street at the moment.
Anyway, I bought this t-shirt dress from New Look and automatically thought of a bunch of ways I'd wear it so I thought I'd style it up three different ways and share it here on the blog - looks two and three will be up in the next week. I love how such a simple (and cheap - this was £12.99!) piece can be so versatile and end up being a wardrobe staple.

Lust of the week: Warehouse satin co-ord
This satin co-ord from Warehouse makes this week 's lust; one, it's a co-ord and I'm bloody obsessed; two, it ticks all the right boxes for that 'pyjama' trend that seems to be making a comeback this summer (something, I for one, am very pleased about!).

Outfit: crop top and wide leg trousers
Crop top: Missguided
Trousers: Topshop (similar)
Sliders: ASOS
A super simple look from me today; no adornments, no jewellery; just a crop top, wide leg pants and sliders (which haven't left my feet since I purchased them a few weeks ago. So. Comfy).
I love wide leg trousers - they're so much comfier than skinnies and can create a really chic silhouette. These ones from Topshop are old (and I mean old...I bought them when I was in lower sixth which was seven - eek - years ago!) but there are so many gracing our wonderful high street at the moment.

Happy Easter everyone! Hope you're all enjoying the long weekend; I'm spending mine up North with my family, stuffing my face with chocolate, wine and my mum's Sunday roast.
I'm also taking full advantage of the sunshine we've been having; these palm print shorts from Fashion Union scream summer and have got me all excited for the next coming months (and praying for a good British summer!)

Lust of the week: Topshop folk print crop top
I can't get enough of crop tops at the moment; they're popping up all over the high street but this one from Topshop ticks all the right boxes; I love the print and small studded detail. It has matching culottes (here) for a cute co-ord look, but I can also picture it with wide legged trousers, a full midi skirt or high-waisted skinnies. Factor in the cost per wear and this baby practically pays for itself!

Outfit: Cricket jumper, leather shorts and sliders
Old school cricket jumper (similar)
Shorts: H&M (similar)
Sliders: ASOS
How happy I am that the sun has been shining in London town and I can ditch the tights and wear my new faux-leather shorts from H&M and ASOS sliders. I pinched this jumper from my brother's wardrobe when I went home for a brief visit last weekend - it's his old school uniform but I think it can work in 'real' life! Actually, judging by the name sewn into the collar it looks like he pinched it from someone himself...
Travels: Wedding at Twelve Apostles, Cape Town
Regular readers of my blog may remember that I went to Cape Town in February this year. We have family there so have been going over since we were kids but this trip was a bit different and a bit more special, as my sister got married over there.
A huge group flew over from the UK and the whole day was just incredible. It took place at the Twelve Apostles Hotel; a small boutique hotel nestled between the ocean and the mountains; the weather was perfect, and the whole thing felt really relaxed (apart from a bit of hairy moment when I was doing my sister's hair and two hairdryers conked out, then the air conditioning started leaking all over the floor and the hotel room filled with maintenance men whilst we were running around half-naked).
My cousins and I were bridesmaids - our dresses were from Coast - and my sister's dress is by Louise Selby. We decided to do our own hair and makeup, mainly because we all tend to be quite natural and bridal makeup can sometimes be a bit over-done. I'm glad we did because it definitely suited the laid-back vibe of the day.
I've put a few pictures of the day below (there are so many more but I won't overload you!); the ones where we look half-decent and aren't throwing dodgy shapes on the dance floor!

Lust of the week: ASOS Africa mesh midi dress
I've always been a fan of the ASOS Africa range but the new collection seems to have stepped up a notch. This mesh midi dress is one of my favourites - it's such a simple piece that could be worn in a variety of ways. I love that they've teamed it with a black bodysuit on the site, but it could also be worn over little dresses or slim fitting trousers.
Outfit: bandeau, leather trousers and shirt
Shirt: Zara
Bandeau: Urban Outfitters
Leather trousers: ASOS (similar)
Heels: Kurt Geiger
I'm loving all the cute little crop tops and bralets popping up everywhere but at the moment they're not exactly weather-friendly, so I've been experimenting with layers as a way of wearing them without freezing to death. By popping a half-unbuttoned shirt over the top it's a nod to the trend while acting as a bit of a transitional style choice before daring to completely bare.

Gemporia live auction
I was recently contacted by jewellery company Gemporia about a huge diamond necklace auction they're holding tonight (Sunday 6th April) and I just had to share it with you because this necklace - pictured below - is stunning!
As well as being an online retailer (website here), Gemporia has their own TV channel (Freeview 43, Sky 652, Virgin 755 and online here) and that's where the auction will take place tonight at 9pm. If you're thinking of putting a bid in to own one of these beautiful diamond necklaces at a cut price, I've put together a little outfit below for some style inspiration.
Gemporia are auctioning off 3,000 of these babies tonight...I know where I'll be at 9pm!
Company Style Blogger Awards 2014
It's that time of year again guys; the Company Style Blogger Awards. I love these awards - I get to see some of my faves win an award for all of their hard work and come across great blogs that I haven't discovered yet. I know pretty much every British blog out there is asking for nominations but if you like Style Trunk I would LOVELOVELOVE to be nominated for 'Best Fashion Blog'. You can nominate by clicking here or clicking on the button in my sidebar- it only takes a minute to fill out the form.
(By the way - this little collection of pictures makes me realise I pose with my hands in my pockets faaar too much. Poor hands never get a look in).
Lust of the week: River Island scarf print shirt
A bit of a crazier print than I usually go for in this week's lust but I'm dreaming of summer and the warmer weather always makes me want to experiment a bit more with colour.
I'm off to Glastonbury this year for the first time (I paid off my ticket last night - shit just got real!) and I'm already thinking about my outfit choices for the festival. This scarf print shirt from River Island is definitely on my options list!
Outfit: all white with black accents
Sunglasses: Primark (similar)
Jacket: Zara (similar)
Tee: Mango
Jeans: Zara (similar)
Heels: ASOS (similar)
I imagine most fashion bloggers will be rejoicing this week at the extra hour of light in the evenings - I know I am! No longer will outfit pictures be confined to spare moments at the weekend...for the next six months, at least.
I'm celebrating the beginning of spring with a fresh all-white look and am trying to wean myself off all that black I wear in winter. Of course, it's a slow process and I can't go cold turkey - hence the black shades and heels!
