The Green Wide Leg Trousers

I've been having a huge wardrobe clear out recently, getting rid of all the pieces that haven't been worn in months and giving them to a better home. It's actually really refreshing to have less stuff (I really don't need it all) and it's something I'm hoping to continue with. It also means I'm coming across old pieces in my wardrobe that I love but have completely forgotten about - like these wide leg COS trousers.
They've been confined to the back of the rack, tangled and doubled up on a hanger with another pair of unworn trousers and I've finally been able to bring them back to life. In a deep bottle green they instantly make any outfit fancier and I'm obsessed with how wide they are. These are definitely for keeps.
All Black and Vans Old Skools
Sunglasses: ASOS
Dress: & Other Stories (sleeveless version)
Jeans: ASOS
Vans: c/o AllSole
A typical outfit for me of late, with Manchester's version of summer being more like a mild autumn than anything else. Hence the black layers with only a bold red lip adding a sense of colour. I've been living in these Vans Old Skools too (having exhausted my all-white pair it was time for an upgrade) which not only are ridiculously comfortable but pretty go with everything in my wardrobe. Expect to see a lot more from them...
Revisiting the Jeans and Blazer Outfit
Blazer: Zara (similar)
Vest: M&S (similar)
Jeans: ASOS
Bag: Sandqvist
Flats: Zara
A pretty basic outfit but one I've been reaching for quite a lot recently in that weird 4-seasons-in-a-day type weather that we've been having a lot of in Manchester recently (also known as, 'summer'). I've been going back to that failsafe jeans-and-blazer combination more so than usual really which is probably more a sign of my laziness and lack of creativity at 6am when I'm stuffing clothes into my gym bag pre-office more than anything else, but let's pretend it's a style thing.
Mixing up a few different colours (black, dark green and tan) and adding a couple of lux details (a double breasted blazer and cut-out detailing on the leather shoes) turns it into a slightly more thoughtful outfit and one you can get away with wearing to the office, with those after-work drinks thrown in.
