Sunglasses: ASOS
Dress: Atterley
After visiting Myrtos Beach in Kefalonia, we hopped in the car and headed up the coast to Assos, a tiny but gorgeous village on the island. Made up of a small harbour, a few tavernas, and pastel-coloured houses, it was the perfect pit stop for a spot of lunch and a walk up and down the steep streets. I threw on this shirt dress from Atterley, which although got pretty creased in the heat, was the perfect combination of smart, casual and lightweight. This was probably the smallest place we visited on the island but definitely the most picturesque - and worth a visit if you're on Kefalonia!
Outfit: Camel Sleeveless Duster
Dress (worn as top): Zara
This look is one of my office go-tos at the moment; it's really easy to just throw on in the morning, it creates an interesting silhouette and the sleeveless duster adds just the right amount of smart and tailored (plus it breaks up my uniform of all-black). I've been wearing this duster so much since it arrived - it goes with pretty much everything and always gives my outfits that little something extra (at £20, you can't really go wrong!)
Lust of the Week: Finery London Elmington Dress
It's no secret that I love Finery - in fact, I recently introduced it to some of the girls in work and now there are boxes arriving at the office almost on a daily basis. This dress has topped my Finery must have list this week, for its simple yet feminine construction and contrasting back detail. Now if only the weather would improve so I could actually wear it...
Outfit: Oversized Basics
Top: Zara (similar at ASOS)
Jeans: Zara (similar at Topshop)
Sundays for me are all about easy, comfy outfits that don't require much thought. Enter these basics that I picked up in the Zara sale; loose, oversized pieces, they're the comfiest things next to my pjs, plus they create a subtle 70s-inspired silhouette that's perfect for this season's biggest trend.
Outfit: Red Finery London Dress
Dress: Finery London
Bag: Zara (similar)
Finery is one of my go-to stores for simple, well-cut pieces in interesting silhouettes. At a really accessible price point (this dress is currently in the sale for only £22), my wardrobe is slowly becoming filled with the brand - plus everything looks a lot more expensive than it actually is, which is always a bonus! Worn with giraffe print sliders and a boxy cross body, this dress is perfect for long summer days, and can be dressed up with a pair of heels too.
Lust of the Week: Grey Obi Belt Dress
Ever since this dress came into my life my obsession with obi belts has been a very real and long standing one. This light grey (it comes in navy too) one from ASOS has only added to this; the perfect example of soft tailoring, it strikes the balance smart and casual really well. I'd wear it with a pair of pointy flats for a slightly dressed down approach.
Travel: Myrtos Beach, Kefalonia
Bikini: Missguided
Sunglasses: ASOS
A quick beach look from Myrtos Beach in Kefalonia. Often dubbed Greece's best beach, it sits between two mountains and is totally worth the steep and winding drive down (Captain Corelli's Mandolin fans may recognise it from the mine explosion scene in the film). The Aegean Sea is probably the best sea I've swum in; totally clear and calm, it's the perfect kind of water to cool off in, and just look at the way it blends in with the sky - beautiful! The beach is also free of any commercialism - no loud music, no watersports, just a small shack-like beach bar - making it completely natural and serene. Perfect.
The Best Culotte Jumpsuits
Regular followers of my blog will know I'm a massive sucker for culottes. A cooler alternative to the midi skirt, they're really versatile, easy to wear, and are the very antithesis to the skinny jean (are skinnies officially over? Answers on a postcard...) Another piece of clothing I absolutely love is the jumpsuit. Despite the fact that you have to get almost completely naked every time you go to the loo, they're also an easy piece to wear, and are perfect if you want a one-piece-outfit that isn't a dress. So it's safe to say that the culotte jumpsuit is right up my street - here are a few of my favourites.
Outfit: Beach Cover Ups
Kaftan: Next
Sunglasses: ASOS
Flip Flops: Havaianas
Hat: Reiss (similar)
Sunglasses: ASOS
Dress: c/o Dorothy Perkins via Fashionchick
These are a couple of the cover ups I wore in Kefalonia, and true to form, I stuck to two of my favourite colours - black and white (who says you can't wear black in summer?!)
This white kaftan from Next was really light, making it perfect for the heat and throwing on over my bikini to head up to the beach bar for a cocktail. I went for a size up to make it a bit more oversized and drapey but I'd say stick to your normal size for something more fitted.
The black maxi was for days when we'd stop off at beaches and villages around the island, so I needed something a bit more appropriate than my slightly-see-through kaftan. Surprisingly light, I didn't die in the heat in all that black and topped with a floppy straw hat, it added a bit of glam to my beachwear.
Lust of the Week: ASOS Playsuit
I love any summer wear that has a hint of autumn/winter about it - mainly because I tend to gravitate towards darker colours and I prefer a heavy wool over a delicate lace any day of the week. That's why this playsuit tops my lust list this week. The tobacco colour is unexpected for summer, and the military details add a tough utilitarianism that I love.

Ring: c/o Astrid & Miyu at JewelStreet
This is another outfit I wore in Kefalonia (serious holiday blues looking through my photos!) - a simple knitted white midi, giraffe print sliders and one delicate piece of jewellery. This kind of a dress is a must-have in my summer wardrobe - it's so fresh and clean and is really easy to just throw on with minimal effort.
Just before I left, this rose gold Astrid & Miyu ring arrived from JewelStreet and I knew it would be perfect for this kind of look. JewelStreet is like an online version of one long street lined with over 300 beautiful designer jewellery boutiques from all over the world - but you can browse at home in your pants and a top knot. I discovered a load of new brands when I was looking through, but this ring is the one that stood out to me most. I love rose gold pieces as an alternative to gold, and the delicateness of it adds a bit of subtle glamour to my outfit. It's a bit small so I'm not sure if it's meant to be worn at the top of the finger or I just have really chunky fingers...either way I like it up there anyway!
Outfit: Red Pleated Dress
Dress: H&M
Sandals: c/o ASOS
I've just got back from a week's holiday in Kefalonia and what a gorgeous week it was. It was my first time in Greece, and despite picking the exact week the country's banks shut down, I fell head over heels with it. Gorgeous beaches, sea that I could have swam in all day, lovely people, and the most delicious food - it was the perfect destination for a week of pure relaxation. I'll be posting a hefty travel post soon but this is one of the outfits I wore one evening.
I bought this H&M dress months ago but have hardly worn it, mainly because I think it works better as a summer dress, sans the tights and jumpers I would have been wearing at the time. Because of this, I'm not sure if it's still available but you can find similar here, here, here or here.
