Best buys: September
1. Topshop bronzer in Sandcastle - I normally use Hoola by Benefit but at about £23 it's quite steep, so I've been on the lookout for a high street alternative for a while now. I haven't been able to find one that I like until now - they've either been too orange or too shimmery, which is not a good look! This bronzer from Topshop is perfect - great shade, completely matte and only £9!
2. Lola Rose ring - I bought this ring when I went to London Fashion Weekend. It's pretty huge and the colour is gorgeous, and I haven't taken it off since!
Video: Interflora for LFW event
As you may know, Interflora invited me to an event for LFW (read about it here) and I thought I'd share this video they put together to see us in action!
Outfit: boyfriend jeans, oversized jumper and statement necklace
Jumper: H&M (mens)
Necklace: H&M
Jeans: River Island
Flats: Zara
These were taken wandering around Highgate last Sunday, which called for this casual look of boyfriend jeans and an oversized jumper - jazzed up with a statement necklace, of course.
Highgate is so pretty and I could spend hours in the various shops, cafes and pubs; this is the perfect outfit for the job!
Lust of the week: Topshop Boutique silk strappy dress
This week I'm lusting after this silk dress from Topshop Boutique. I love the rich burgundy colour and the nod to the 90s slip dress style that is having a revival at the moment, but with a gathered waist and pockets to give it a bit more shape. Worn on its own with heels for evening or with a chunky knit and ankle boots for day, this is one item of clothing that would fit in veeery well in my wardrobe!
Event: London Fashion Weekend
At the end of London Fashion Week, Somerset House carries on the party with Fashion Weekend - a few days of discounted designer shopping, shows, champagne and cocktails. I've been a couple of times before and bought some amazing things. It seemed to be a lot smaller this time round though which was a bit disappointing, although I did get a gorgeous ring from Lola Rose which I'll put on the blog soon!
Jumper: Uniqlo (men's)
Skirt: River Island
Clutch: Mirka via Etsy
Boots: Kurt Geiger
The gorgeous Somerset House
Event: Interflora for LFW
Last Tuesday Interflora invited me and a few other bloggers to take part in a very special event as part of London Fashion Week. We were asked to create a mood board on a British designer, then on the day a florist created a bouquet based on that mood board. I chose Mulberry, and based my board on their A/W 2013 collection...here it is:
The day took place at a gorgeous apartment in Clerkenwell and it was so much fun - the people at Interflora were lovely and treated us really well throughout. It was also great to catch up with Sophie, and meet other bloggers Lauren, Sarah, Lauren and Isabelle.
Natalie, the florist, really captured the feel of my mood board and the end result was gorgeous. All of the bouquets were stunning - the florists were so creative and all of them looked completely different - very impressed!
Discussing the mood board
I loved the use of Proteas - a flower you don't normally see out of South Africa!
How gorgeous is the colour of this rose?
Bark created an edgy contrast to the girliness of the rest of the bouquet and was a nod to Mulberry's A/W campaign with Cara Delevingne
The end result!
Me with the very talented Natalie who created this design! I'm wearing a Zara top, Asos skirt, Topshop ring, the blue and gold necklace is from Cinderela B and the gold chain is one I pinched off one of my clutch bags.
The smaller (and not so heavy!) version I took home
A massive thanks to Interflora for inviting me and providing me with these lovely photos!
Lust of the week: French Connection Evita Wool Classic Coat
This week I'm lusting after this gorgeous wool coat from French Connection. I'm really loving anything minimalist at the moment and this epitomises that trend - the colour, cut and shape is so clean and classic and it's the kind of coat you can wear year and year (provided you steer clear of tomato ketchup...) Anyone got a spare £250?!
Outfit: co-ord shirt and trousers
Shirt: H&M
Trousers: H&M
Wedges: Asos
Good evening all, hope you're enjoying LFW as much as I am - I've mainly been live streaming shows and keeping up-to-date via Twitter but I'm off to a couple of events tomorrow for the final day, and I can't wait to to share it all with you!
I bought this co-ord set back at the beginning of the year but somehow managed to miss it off the blog! I really love the print and it's pyjama-y but in a structured kind of way.

Lust of the week: Whistles silk dress in terrazzo print
My lust of the week comes from Whistles this week - a solid British, long-time favourite brand of mine. Although it edges on the pricier high-street side, their clothes are always impeccable and the sales are fantastic!
I love this dress - the print is camo-esque (which I'm seeing everywhere at the moment) but not so in your face and fancy-dress-ish. With such a graphic print, this simple shape works best, and I love the contrasting underlay which breaks it up a bit.
Whistles, you've done it again!
Outfit: feather print maxi dress
Dress: River Island
Sandals: Asos
I'm writing this post from a cold and rainy London - it seems that our good weather has well and truly ended and Autumn has arrived in full force. This picture must have been taken at least four weeks ago but somehow slipped through the cracks when it came to posting. Now that I'm back to jeans, boots and jumpers it was nice to come across this forgotten-about outfit pic and be reminded of what a good summer we had!
I love the print of this dress and have worn it to so many different occasions - the long sleeves mean I can wear it through long summer evenings and I can dress it down with flats.
Outfit: stripy jumper, denim shorts and fedora
Hat: Topshop
Jumper: Forever 21
Watch: Casio
Shorts: cut-off Levi's
Belt: Topshop
Boots: Kurt Geiger
Sometimes simple is best, and in my books a stripy jumper always looks good. Now that we're making that transition into Autumn (although we have been having a mini heatwave in London the past few days!) I'm enjoying pairing shorts and skirts with light-weight jumpers and mixing seasons up a bit.
Events: Lingerie show and bloggers meet up
Last weekend I was invited to a lingerie show at the Rose Club near Marble Arch, which was er, a bit different! Brands Kiss Me Deadly, Louise Ferdinand and Sonata Lingerie all showcased, and I was very impressed with the ladies getting up in front of all those people in their pants.
Here are a few pics from the night...

We took full advantage of the free Bellini's!
Ring: Gift
Dress: Paisie
Following the show, we managed to track down the elusive Experimental Cocktail Club in China Town - a bar with no signage but just a black door and a doorman who lets you in if you ask kindly and he likes the look of you.
Unfortunately this didn't fare well for the following day as I was sliiightly hungover for the bloggers meet up that the lovely Sophie organised. About 25 of us met up for a spot of shopping and lunch at The Diner in Soho, and it was such a nice day - so good to meet bloggers whose blogs I've been following for a while as well as meet new ones, and generally talk clothes and blogging all day!
Best buys: August
These grey heels from Asos are my best buy this month. I got them for half price in the sale - £22.50 - fabulous! I love the soft grey and unusual chunky heel and I know they'll look great in a casual outfit with jeans and a tee, as well as with a dressier outfit.
P.S I've got a guest post up on Jess's blog Copper Garden today - take a peek!
