This is an outfit that kind of came around by accident (aren't those ones the best?) when I was getting ready for work one morning and found that tucking the back of my jumper into my skirt created a lumpy bulge that was not cute. Luckily, this jumper has slits down either side so I left the back out and ended up with a nice bit of layering (and you know I love my layers). Talking of which, I've been wearing these gold necklaces together quite a lot recently - I like that they're both really delicate and have similar shapes and add a bit of something extra to an outfit.

This is a combination I find myself wearing quite a lot - it's that time of year when I really want to wear my summer clothes but most days it's too cold to go the whole hog, so layering up different pieces is the only answer. I've paired it with my beautiful new platforms from & Other Stories (actually really comfortable too) which is how I wear this outfit for evening, but I've been wearing it with pointy flats for day too.
Lust of the Week: Finery London Page V-Neck Dress
I first became aware of Finery London a few months ago and have been obsessed with it ever since. For about 18 months (seriously) I'd been looking for a simple, white, loose fit maxi dress with a great cut and it seemed impossible to find - until I found about Finery and it had exactly what I wanted. I quickly snapped it up (it'll be on the blog soon) and have been wracking up more bits on my wishlist pretty much on a weekly basis. It's a minimalist's dream, with pieces that are really simple yet well-structured. It's also really accessible - this dress, for example, is only £45 but it looks way more expensive. I've got a feeling I'm going to be spending a lot more time on that site...

I seem to be getting obsessed with the obi belt - what with last week's outfit post and this ASOS dress this week. There's something so easy about this trend though and I feel like it's quite an understated one this season, so I'm going to roll with it. Any sign of sun and warmth at the moment and I'm using it as an excuse to get my legs out, so I've ditched the tights and paired it with a classic pair of buckled sandals. This beautifully crafted crossbody from Matt & Nat adds an injection of colour to the outfit, plus it's made from vegan, sustainable materials so it sits well with the old conscience and makes up for the fact that I've just added another piece to my wardrobe...

Something I love when it comes to style is playing with lengths and pairing unexpected pieces of clothing together. Popping a dress over culottes creates a long, streamlined and slightly oversized silhouette, and breathes new life into both pieces.
These linen culottes from M&S (can you believe they're M&S?!) are the latest to be added to my culottes collection and are really versatile and easy to wear; perfect for Spring when it's still a bit too cold to go for completely bare legs.
